PAVAN (Protect Aylesbury Vale Against Noise) is a non-political committee of Vale residents founded in July 2002 to object to Luton Airport's proposals to re-route some of its flights over Aylesbury Vale and southwest Herts. We have since expanded to investigate aircraft noise and unconstrained airport expansion at all large airports that fly over Aylesbury Vale.
We are committed to a peaceful and legal strategy to secure our objectives of maintaining the tranquillity of the countryside. We do not scaremonger. We research and communicate the facts and come to logical, realistic conclusions.
Luton Airport failed to get its new airspace in 2003 on both environmental grounds and complaints from other airspace users.
In June 2004, Luton issued its latest proposal for additional airspace, Option 3A. Click here to see what will affect you.
The period for responses to the current proposal has ended on 8th November, 2004, and PAVAN's response can be seen here.
